Tom graduated from the University of Hull with a BSc (Hons) in Sport, Health and Exercise Science in 2016. He then completed a PhD in Medical Science at Hull York Medical School, where his research focused on clinical exercise physiology, particularly myocardial ischaemia and exercise‑induced coronary collateral arteriogenesis. He has extensive experience conducting and interpreting cardiopulmonary exercise testing (CPET) in both healthy individuals and patients with cardiovascular disease. Tom is now a Lecturer in Clinical Strength and Conditioning at the University of Hull and has previously worked with the City of Hull Rugby League Academy. He is also a Level 1CrossFit® coach with experience training a broad range of athletes.
