Ben is a Graduate Sports Therapist and an active member of BASRaT, with extensive experience across clinical practice, education and research. He holds a PhD focused on “The role of infrared thermal imaging in the assessment of chronic midportion Achilles tendinopathy”. Ben is the Programme Director for the BSc (Hons) Sport Rehabilitation at the University of Hull. Before relocating to Hull, Ben owned and operated a successful private sports injury clinic for over a decade. His clinical background includes over ten years of pitch-side and rehabilitation work in rugby union, including roles in the national leagues and with the Lancashire U20s men’s county team. He has also contributed to professional football clubs in both clinical and research capacities. In addition to his academic and clinical roles, Ben is a Level 3 Instructor for the Rugby Football Union in Pre-Hospital Immediate Care in Sport and currently works with the Yorkshire Rugby Academy where he also supports student development through clinical placements and academic mentorship.
Ben is a Graduate Sports Therapist and Programme Director for BSc (Hons) Sport Rehabilitation.
